Alisha Carlson is in the business of making mom life easier!
What started in 2013 as a lifestyle blog for moms, MsAlishaCarlson.com has gained momentum as Alisha found her true passion in helping moms overcome their overwhelm. Having struggled with anger, anxiety, and overwhelm herself, Alisha started openly sharing her experiences about mental health and how it impacts motherhood. Suddenly, her previously quiet audience became engaged.
“People are looking for real. They need to know they aren’t alone in their situation. They’re looking for help and for hope. Being real in your message, being honest, open, vulnerable, and authentic… that’s what makes you stand out. That’s what makes your audience connect to you.”
It’s Alisha’s ability to tell-it-like-it-is, mixed with lots of heart and a hint of sarcasm, that continues to expand her business. With the addition of her podcast, Real Mom Talk, Alisha uses storytelling and laughter to deep dive into tough topics like “Why Am I So Overwhelmed” and “Anger Trigger Confessions”. It is this same authenticity that has moms asking for more and is the motivation behind her new SIMPLIFIED course, an online program with live group coaching.
No stranger to the stage, Alisha has spoken at numerous women’s events and conferences. She has been published in Parenting in Fort Wayne magazine and is a regular contributor to FortheFamily.org.
Alisha lives in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband, Brad, of 16 years. They have three energetic boys (ages 13, 12 & 10), two cats, and an immense love of travel. When Alisha is not writing, you’ll find her on an “adventure” with her family.
